El Sherbini comes from behind to capture title

World No.1 Nour El Sherbini is the 2022 Squash On Fire champion after recovering from a first game loss to Joelle King.

The top seed had struggled early on in the match and struggled for accuracy as King took the first game 11-6.

The Egyptian gathered herself, though, and despite being short of her usually incredible standard, was able to recover to take the next three games.

Result: [1] Nour El Sherbini (EGY) bt [2] Joelle King (NZL) 3-1: 6-11, 11-8, 16-14, 13-11 (55m)
