The semis of the PSF Squash Circuit 1 threw up two more surprises, with the last two seeds remaining being knocked out of the competition. Farhan Mehboob and Hamza Khan will do battle in Tuesday’s final.

The Challenger 5 level event was domestically restricted due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with only those currently residing in Pakistan being permitted to enter the tournament.

Mehboob came up against older sibling Waqas in the semi-finals, and the unseeded Pakistani wasted no time in making his way through to the final, beating his elder sibling in straight games, needing just 24 minutes on court.

He will face Hamza Khan in the final, after he defeated No.2 seed Farhan Zaman in the last four. Once again, it was a straightforward win for the unseeded player, winning 11-7, 11-6, 11-7 in 22 minutes to secure his spot in Tuesday’s final.

The final of the tournament will take place on the glass court at the Mushaf Squash Complex in Islamabad, with Farhan Mehboob and Hamza Khan battling it out for the Challenger 5 level title.
